The fourth of twelve recorded webinars in the Getting Connected: Building Skill to Support GEMS® webinar series with Teepa Snow each month. This series focuses on enhancing interaction skills and appreciating the changes that the PLWD is experiencing that effect some many aspects of life. Recognizing the signs of Diamond distress and offering the right responses and support can make the difference between a successful interaction and one that blows up or fizzles out. We will explore impact of awareness and personality as we address common challenges.
With a master's degree in Educational Leadership and Administration, Amanda has been a teacher and leader in schools since 2007. After working with elementary students for 8 years, Amanda has decided to join the PAC™ community as a coach, trainer, and leader. Her skills and experience working with students and adults from around the globe have proven to be a tremendous asset wherever she goes. Growing up with Teepa as a mother, Amanda has been a part of the Positive Approach to Care™ from the beginning; serving originally as a teenage volunteer while Teepa developed and refined her approach and skills. Since the training runs in her veins, Amanda can't wait to spread the knowledge and awareness that Teepa Snow gives to the world around us.
